The Audit program is articulated around 4 sessions, covering the main aspects of the interview process:
Session 1
Technical 1 - Accounting mechanics & financial statement analysis + technical itw questions
- Core accounting, covering essential concepts such as the accounting equation, double-entry bookkeeping, and the recognition of revenue and expenses.
- Mechanics of financial statements, including preparation and interpretation of the three financial statements (balance sheet, P&L and cash flows), emphasizing how they interrelate. Understand their critical role in maintaining liquidity and ensuring the sustainability of business operations.
Session 2
Technical 2 - Audit procedures + technical itw questions
- Understand the 5 phases of an audit process: (i) planning, (ii) risk assessment, (iii) audit strategy and plan, (iv) gathering evidence and (v) finalisation.
- Audit techniques: risk assessment, sampling, testing of internal controls, and substantive testing of transactions.
- Risk and materiality concepts: identifying, assessing, and managing audit risks, while determining materiality thresholds to focus audit efforts effectively.
- Compliance and regulatory requirements: Understanding the legal and regulatory landscape, including key auditing standards, ethics, and governance requirements.
Session 3
Non-technical interview preparation
- Discuss the HR call, focusing on how to present yourself, answer common questions, and convey your strengths effectively.
- Delve into psychometric tests (Abstract, Verbal, Reasoning), designed to measure your cognitive abilities, personality traits, and behavioral tendencies, providing insights into their suitability for specific roles or environments.
- Preparation for traditional fit questions.
- Advice on to behave during HR business cases.
Session 4
Mock interview & Technical business case
- Reminder of the core strategy principles (Porter's 5 forces, Business Model Canvas, etc.).
- Face a real interview case, where you'll practice solving a business problem in a simulated interview scenario with live modelling and technical interview questions.
- Receive constructive feedback from your peers and coach. This interactive segment will focus on your strengths and areas for improvement.
- Tips for the final Partner's interview.
